.: The September 8, 2010 Edition :.
Not much happened this week, due to the Labor Day holiday, but Black and Blue Ink. managed to get a recording session in this past weekend. The Production Vault update, of course, is also here!
.: Quick News Tidbits :.
Short list of what's happened this week and what's coming up:
- Black and Blue Ink. finished working on a song that will be released either tomorrow or Friday, and has a few more songs coming up.
- Brian Bullion has been working on some beats and has submitted some for projects.
- FoRcE oNe's writing to some tracks.
- CoCoa has another track that's ready for production work.
Today's bundle has three kits. The first two are inspired by two of the most legendary producers of hip-hop, DJ Premier and Pete Rock. Both of these kits contain dirty vinyl laced drums and some small instrument hits that are reminiscent of their styles. The Pete Rock one has some horn hits that give you a hint of Soul Brother #1.
The third kit is a huge kit, and it's a collection of drums I've cut from hip-hop tracks and other genres over the years. They range from Queen's "We Will Rock You" to various Neptunes-produced songs, to "Cupid" by 112, to many others.
The kit weighs in at 571 samples, so I'm sure you producers out there can put these to great use.
