This past week was quite busy on the music tip. Both Less and Kim Pingul f.k.a. CoCoa had productive recording sessions this week, including a new completed song by Kim called "Final Words." MooN ShynE appeared on Real Heat Radio, and the music section has also been revamped on the website so that all our material can be listened to. All that, and of course, the usual Production Vault update. =]

Here's a list of the things that have been going on:

  • Less recorded two verses, one for his contribution to the Roll Call '10 compilation, and one for another solo project.
  • Kim Pingul (the former CoCoa who now wants to be referred to by her real name) and MooN ShynE completed a acoustic pop/rock track this week called "Final Words." It's the first track where KP and MooN ShynE worked from beginning to end on the production and recording, and the acoustic guitar recording technique we outlined in our blog here was finally used in practice. You can hear it in the newly revamped Music section here.
  • Speaking of the newly revamped Music section, make sure to check it out at http://www.moonshizzleproductions.com/music to hear all our material. There are still some songs in the archive that have to be uploaded, but they will all be up in the near future.
  • MooN ShynE appeared on Real Heat Radio and was able to get a few more opportunities that will be revealed in the near future.
  • In non-MsP related but still dear to our hearts news, we pay tribute to the passing of Aaliyah, one of the best R&B singers/performers of our generation, who passed August 25, 2001. Rest in Peace. We all miss you.

This eLab kit is HUGE. There are over 1400 samples in this kit, and it's safe to say that a majority of your drums and percussion needs would be covered with this kit alone. Aside from the standard kick, snare, hats and claps folders, you have folders for crash cymbals, ride cymbals, separate folders for open and close hats, rimshots, shakers, tambourines, toms and congas.

This is the biggest kit we have put up to date, and there's more out there still to share from the vault in the coming weeks.
