Welcome to the this week's edition of the MsP Mailing List!

This week I cover my acoustic guitar recording process (now that I have an acoustic electric guitar), a review of Distant Relatives (the new collaboration album by NaS and Damian Marley), and of course, this week's Production Vault update!.

This past week's main focus has been working with our new SM57 mic and the new acoustic electric guitar, as well as working with The Feebles. Rhythm guitarist and vocalist John Bogart will be moving to California in about a month, so we're working on recording some covers as a final hurrah before The Feebles close up shop. The Feebles are primarily a Beatles cover band, but we'll be doing some recent covers as well for fun. In addition to that, Roll Call '10 is still being worked on heavily, and you'll be receiving updates on those tracks in the coming weeks.

This week we have some lo-fi drums. The thing I like about these drums is how they're filtered. They're good for classic hip-hop production, and if you like Timbaland's production work, his drums have a similar filter to them to make them sound dirty.

To add to these, I've also got disorted guitar and some more bass samples for you. All together, drums and all, we're looking at about 200 samples for you to mess around with. =]
